Alzheimer University
The Alzheimer University training programme was developed by ADI in response to the Gateway programme survey (1997) in which members said they wanted training on how to strengthen the work of their Alzheimer association. The programme comprises a series of workshops covering various issues regarding setting up and strengthening the organisational capacity of an Alzheimer association.
- To equip participants with the proven skills and knowledge of how to develop a successful Alzheimer’s association and formulate a strategy for growth
- To promote change by enhancing the participants’ sense of their own value and the significance of their work in supporting people with dementia and their carers.
